Community Involvement
Rooted in Norwich. Committed to Our Community.
At Anderson Trial Lawyers, community involvement isn’t a line item — it’s a core value. Attorney Chris Anderson believes that being a neighbor means more than having an address. It means showing up, investing in people, and supporting the organizations that make Eastern Connecticut stronger.
From youth sports fields to library programs, performing arts stages to family service centers, Chris Anderson is proud to support organizations doing meaningful work across Norwich and the surrounding region.
Organizations We Support
YOUTH SPORTS
Norwich Little League
Founded in 1950, Norwich Little League is a 100% volunteer-run organization providing baseball and softball for children ages 4–16 in the Norwich area. With five fields on Otrobando Avenue, the program teaches teamwork, sportsmanship, and integrity while offering every child a place to grow — from T-Ball beginners to Senior League athletes.
CULTURE
Otis Library
A Norwich institution since 1850, Otis Library is far more than a place to borrow books. A National Medal recipient and trusted community hub at 261 Main Street, Otis provides free access to information, job resources, citizenship and immigration programs, bilingual services, technology support, and cultural programming for people of all ages and backgrounds.
PERFORMING ARTS
Griswold Drama Club
For nearly a century, Griswold Drama has served as a cornerstone of student creativity and community pride at Griswold High School in Jewett City. Through fall plays and full-scale spring musicals, the program brings together students, families, and alumni to create performances that build confidence, belonging, and lasting memories — no prior experience required.
RECREATION
Norwich Recreation Department
The City of Norwich’s Recreation Department offers a full range of programs and activities for children, teens, and adults across the community. From seasonal sports leagues to enrichment programs, Norwich Rec ensures that residents of all ages have access to healthy, engaging outlets right in their own backyard.
FAMILY SERVICES
Madonna Place “Music that Matters”
Since 1981, Madonna Place has been a welcoming, supportive space for families in Eastern Connecticut. Serving over 650 families each year, this nonprofit strengthens families and works to prevent child abuse and neglect through education, advocacy, and community collaboration — with programs spanning home visiting, fatherhood initiatives, emergency resources, and mental health outreach.
Music that Matters brings the power of live music and arts programming to the greater Norwich community, creating inclusive spaces where music connects people across ages and backgrounds. Anderson Trial Lawyers is proud to support their work in making artistic experiences more accessible to those who need them most.
EDUCATION
NSEF — North Stonington Education Foundation
Founded in 2004, the North Stonington Education Foundation is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to enhancing public education in the North Stonington community. NSEF provides grants to educators for innovative, creative projects that improve outcomes for students and strengthen the quality of local schools for everyone.
A note on our involvement
Chris Anderson’s support of these organizations takes many forms — financial contributions, hands-on participation, and ongoing engagement. The goal is always the same: to be a meaningful part of the communities Anderson Trial Lawyers serves.
